Aopa Hellas

An ÉÁÏÑÁ decision entrusted ÁÏÑÁ Hellas with the organization of the IAOPA World Assembly in Athens, 9-14 June 2008.  The World Assembly will take place in a central Athens hotel under the auspices and with the kind sponsorship of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and of the Ministry for the Development of Tourism. 

 

Within this context ÁÏÑÁ Hellas is inviting proposals from potential sponsors among companies in the sector.

All civil aircraft operating internationally (across national borders) will be required to be equipped with a 406 MHz ELT as of 1 July 2008. For existing aircraft this can be as simple as portable device not attached to the aircraft and not automatically activated. New aircraft must have an automatic fixed 406 ELT.
